"La Ofrenda" - Yreina Cervantez
"La Ofrenda" was chosen for the Murals Gallery because all that it represents. This mural represents all that women are, all
that women have been, and all that women can be, in particular Chicana women. As a tribute to the role women play in the Chicano
culture, a mother stands from and center with her head held high. "La Ofrenda" speaks so much of the culture that one is moved by its
very sight.
